Happy St. Patrick’s Day to everyone, Irish or not. It’s a shame that we get 1 day a year to celebrate being a Celt. Is there a Scottish holiday that we celebrate in the U.S.? No. Is there a Welsh holiday that we celebrate in the U.S.? No. Maybe I’m just prejudice, but it irks me that that’s it. Is there a Native American day? No. I don’t know what’s up with the Congress not giving people their due. We have Black History Month in February, but no one else gets a history month. What’s with that? The Irish, Scots, Welsh, Native Americans, Germans, etc. have interesting history. Why don’t they get a history month? I just think we should be fair to everyone. If we can’t all have a special MONTH, then maybe we should at least have a special DAY. Just something to think about.
